Design in Digital

The CAD & CAE department creates the digital foundation of the aircraft before physical manufacturing begins. Using computer-aided design and engineering tools, the team develops detailed three-dimensional models, assemblies, and components while using simulations and computational analysis to evaluate their behaviour. The department connects conceptual engineering with manufacturing by allowing designs to be visualised, tested, refined, and validated before they become physical parts.

Members develop the ability to turn engineering ideas into precise digital systems. You will gain experience in 3D modelling, assemblies, technical design, simulation, computational analysis, and design optimisation while learning how to identify problems before fabrication. Beyond software proficiency, the department teaches an engineering mindset—how to evaluate constraints, interpret results, iterate efficiently, and make design decisions based on evidence rather than assumptions.
